At YES Initiative, we believe that young people have the power to shape their communities and demand accountability from leaders.
Our Active Citizenship program empowers young people to become engaged citizens, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to drive positive change. We build a culture of civic participation, where young people’s voices are heard and valued. Through our initiatives, we foster a sense of responsibility and ownership among young people, encouraging them to take an active role in shaping their futures.
Our Economic Empowerment program is designed to unlock the economic potential of young people. We provide skills training, resources, and opportunities for financial stability and independence. Our programs foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation, empowering young people to drive economic growth and development.
The Peace Building program at YES recognizes the critical role that young people play in promoting peace and social cohesion. Our program brings together young people from diverse backgrounds, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and networks they need to become agents of peace. We promote peace, tolerance, and understanding among young people, fostering a culture of non-violence and conflict resolution.
Our Climate Change Program Areas focus on empowering young people to take action against climate change. We support projects that promote sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental protection. Our program areas include:
– Education: We educate young people on climate change issues, providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to become climate champions.
– Advocacy: We support young people to become advocates for climate action, providing them with training, mentorship, and resources to amplify their voices.
– Adaptation and Resilience: helping communities adapt to the impacts of climate change
– Nature: safeguarding ecosystems, protecting natural habitats, and reducing carbon emissions ¹
– Community-Led Action: supporting community-led projects that address climate change and promote sustainability
